Star Limited Edition.

To celebrate its origin and history, Star, the olive oil brand owned by Borges Branded Foods, has  launched in the US a collection of 3 limited edition tins.

The idea behind the collection, was to create 3 distinct tins inspired by the iconography, imagery and typography of the early XXth century, when the company’s founders, the Guirlani brothers, began importing and distributing olive oil from Lucca Italy in San Francisco.

Columna, with the help of BBF team, has restored and redefined several significant visual elements historically associated to the brand.  Creating  a vintage look and feel expressed in contemporary terms in a unique premium visual identity reflecting the high quality of Star’s extra virgin olive oil. This was achieved by analizing and  revisiting Star´s early packaging designs rich in Art Decó imagery with ornate patterns and illustrations from the early 1930´s.
